AFC Fylde have completed the signing of former Fleetwood and Loncoln striker Danny Rowe.
Rowe figured in four pre-season matches for the Coasters and did enough to persuade manager Dave Challinor to try and sign him on a permanent basis with the Conference North season getting under way on Saturday with a home match against Brackley.
Challinor said: “It seems pretty last minute in terms of getting him signed and registered but it’s a deal that has been in the offing for quite a few weeks now.”
“Danny has lots of Conference Premier experience but most importantly lots of ability. It’s a great fit for both parties in the fact that Danny was looking for something more local and we were looking to bring in an extra forward.
“I really think we can get the best out of Danny to allow him to showcase the talent he has.
“He knows lots of the lads anyway but has integrated well during pre season whilst training and playing games and I know he can’t wait to get started.”
Coasters have also signed winger Dion Charles, the former Blackpool FC youth player Dion Charles, who was an unused substitute last season for the Seasiders in the Championship.
