The Coasters staved off a late fightback by the hosts to secure a win in National League One North and move to the top of the table.

The scores were level at half-time, but 10 minutes into the second period manager Dave Challinor’s side went 2-0 up.

Both goals came from Richie Baker, the second from the penalty spot.

The spot kick came after Fylde’s Dion Charles had been fouled in the area,

On the 85th minute, the visitors had a scare when Duane Courtney pulledc a goal back for Corby.

Previous leaders Solihull Moors drew with Tamworth, so AFC Fylde leap-frog them into first place.
