KEIGAN Parker believes a positive result against Crawley tomorrow could be the springboard for Fleetwood to realise their play-off goal.
The on-loan former Seasider has mixed memories of facing the Blue Square Bet Premier leaders – he scored against Crawley for Mansfield in October but lost 4-1.
But he’s sure Town will be a different proposition for the title favourites. “Fleetwood play better against he so-called bigger teams and this is the type of game that suits us.
“Hopefully we can crack on with a good result. A win on Saturday could be a springboard going into some games we should be looking to win.”
Parker is convinced Town can make the play-offs but believes victories at this stage of the season are vital. “The main reason I’m here is to hopefully get the club into the play-offs and out of this league,” he added.
“But the more points you get early, the less pressure is on you. You don’t want to be chasing other teams and waiting on their results.
“This league is so tight that a couple of wins can be the difference between getting into the play-offs and not.”
