Have your say

We are still welcoming your nominations for our annual youth sport spectacular, the AllStars Awards, but time is running out.

The Gazette has again joined forces with Blackpool Sixth Form College, which will host our glittering awards ceremony on December 3 to reward the ourstanding individuals and teams nominated by our readers.

There are again 10 awards to be won, including the most coveted AllStars Star of the Year award, all brought to you in association with our sponsors Blackpool Transport, Questa Chartered, Rossall School, St George’s School and Whitworth Pharmacy.

The Fylde coast has a proud tradition of developing young stars who have gone on to excel in their chosen sport on the national and international stage, and an AllStars award could be the first stepping stone to worldwide achievement.

As usual we will assemble a panel of judges to assess your nominations and you can nominate candidates in as many categories as you like.

Each nomination should contain a description (no more than 100 words please) of the nominated individual/team’s efforts/achievements and include reasons for the nomination. Nominations must not be based on achievements before 2014.

Nominees for individual awards must live in Blackpool, Fylde or Wyre or represent a school, team or sports organisation in one of those boroughs.

Norminees shortlisted by our judges will be invited to attend the awards ceremony.

To simplify this process, it would be helpful if all nominations included contact details for the nominee.

Parents nominating their children should include their own contact details, while school pupils nominated by their school will be contacted via the school.

Nominations must reach us by the end of this week and should be emailed to allstars@blackpoolgazette.co.uk or posted to Gazette Sport, Avroe House, Avroe Crescent, Blackpool FY4 2DP. Please print ALLSTARS AWARDS in the email subject box 0r on the envelope.
