Fleetwood refuse to comment on Howard rumours
Mark Howard
FLEETWOOD chairman Andy Pilley has declined to comment on speculation linking keeper Mark Howard with the club.
Howard, 25, is a free agent after refusing to sign a new deal with the Seasiders.
His short-term contract ran out last weekend, meaning Mark Halstead is now deputy to Matt Gilks.
Fleetwood have been linked with Howard but Pilley said: “I don’t comment on individual players.”
Pool’s hopes of signing Howard for the rest of the season seem slim.
Ian Holloway said: “Mark’s not been around for the last couple of days, so there’s nothing to say on that.
“I may get another keeper in on loan.”
