Defender Danny Andrew can’t wait for another crack at the Football League after becoming Fleetwood Town’s first summer signing.
The 23-year-old left-back has joined Graham Alexander’s squad for next season after spending last season with Conference club Macclesfield
Andrew himself sparked talk of a move to Highbury by tweeting about joining Fleetwood while the team were warming up at Wembley on Monday.
Andrew, who started his career with Peterborough, revealed that he met Fleetwood boss Alexander before Town’s play-off campaign began.
He said: “From the very first meeting to now seems like a lifetime.
“I am over the moon to make the move back into the Football League and especially into League One.”
Andrew spent three years at Cheltenham Town before moving to Moss Rose last summer.
