BLACKPOOL say they haven’t had calls from any rival club about winger Matt Phillips despite interest from Everton, Stoke, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Bolton and Celtic.
The 21-year-old’s star is rising after an explosive second half to the season, which led to him being named in the PFA’s Championship team of the year.
The latest reports in the national press suggest a number of clubs are considering a summer bid.
Holloway points out that Phillips is under contract for another two years, but the boss admits he will wait to see what happens in the close-season and weigh up whether Phillips is still committed to the club.
Holloway said: “I only want players here who want to play for us – and at the moment Matt does.”
