CHARLIE Adam will miss Pool’s crucial trip to Wolves and the TV date with Chelsea after a costly late booking last night.
The Seasiders skipper picked up his tenth yellow card of the season for a sliding challenge in stoppage time against Spurs.
Adam had got the ball rolling on the night Pool got their season back on track, converting a penalty for his eighth goal this term against the club which made an unsuccessful late bid to sign him on transfer deadline day.
But a fine night for the Scot was tarnished by the late caution, which means boss Ian Holloway will have to reshuffle his midfield for the next two games.
“It will give someone else the opportunity to play,” said Holloway, putting a brave face on it.
“I’ve got plenty of options and I’m sure I can come up with someone else to take the free-kicks and the corners with the same bit of quality and pizzazz Charlie has.
“But Charlie is fantastic and I thought he was outstanding again. He hurt his hamstring a little but hopefully the damage is very slight.
