Lloyd Jones has returned to Liverpool following an ankle injury suffered in Tuesday night’s win against Chesterfield.
The 19-year-old was taken to hospital for a scan following the game after fears of serious damage in the dying stages of the game.
Pool boss Neil McDonald confirmed this morning the defender has returned to Anfield to be treated by their medical staff but is expected to return when fit.
Jones had began to find form at Bloomfield Road having extended his loan deal until the end of the current season.
He’s made nine appearances so far this season and turned to social media to show his disappointment following the injury.
Saying: “Great 2-0 over Chesterfield, the team were excellent defending and attacking.
“On a personal note gutted, I’m off to get an x-ray now”
