Tom Ince was once again on the scoresheet as Blackpool beat non-league side Witton Albion.
The winger turned in a cross from new-boy Bobby Grant on 58 minutes in a game in which Paul Ince again used to cast an eye over trial players.
This time there were three in action, Neal Bishop, full-back Danny Granger and former Brighton midfielder Gary Dicker.
Grant had his first run-out for the club just two hours after signing from Rochdale and looked lively in attack.
On the hour mark boss Ince introduced a number of younger players, and a couple really caught the eye.
James Caton was a constant threat on the wing and his cross was headed home well by Tom Barkhuizen.
With 11 minutes left on the clock Craig Cathcart popped up to score Pool’s third.
Pool: Gilks (Halstead 76), Basham (Caprice 76), Grainger (Harris 60), Broadfoot, Cathcart, Angel (Barkhuizen 71), Dicker (Osbourne 60), Bishop (Noguera 71), Ince, Eccleston (Almond 65), Grant (Caton 65).
