MATT Phillips and Gary Taylor-Fletcher are out of tonight’s clash with Hull, when Ian Holloway hopes the Seasiders will begin their charge to promotion.
The attacking duo haven’t recovered from the injuries which forced them to miss last week’s win at Bristol City. Phillips had to pull out of midweek international duty.
So did Craig Cathcart, but his hamstring problem has eased and he will return to the squad along with Roman Bednar, who has shaken off a dead leg.
Holloway is wary of a Hull side which is a couple of points off the play-offs and unbeaten in seven games.
The manager said; “They are flying and they have a good young manager in Nick Barmby.
“They will be tough to break down but we’ll have a go and see what we can do. We have to ready ourselves for the gallop towards the line.
“We’ve achieved it in the past, so that might put us in a better frame of mind. But I’m not stupid enough to think that just because we’ve done it before we are going to do it again.
“We have to soldier on towards the line. You have to overcome and conquer disappointment to get anywhere in life – but fortunately my lads are great at doing that.”
