SCOTT Robertson’s short stay at Blackpool is over.
The 27-year-old, who signed from Dundee United in the summer, came to an agreement with the Seasiders to end his contract early, allowing him to return to Scotland.
He made only one appearance for Blackpool, playing 60 minutes in the 3-0 defeat at Cardiff in September.
Robertson was signed as a like-for-like replacement for Keith Southern.
However, in the same week Pool signed both Isaiah Osbourne and Tiago Gomes, meaning the Scotsman was never really given a chance to prove himself at Bloomfield Road.
He held talks with Pool this week, and both parties agreed it would be best for him to leave on a free transfer.
Robertson is expected to sign for Scottish Premier League side Hibernian this morning.
