IAN Holloway was quick to play down media reports linking him with a move for Peterborough striker Emile Sinclair last night.
It had been reported that the Seasiders were leading the race to sign the 24-year-old.
However, Holloway said: “That’s not true, not at all. It’s the first I’ve heard of it, to be honest.”
Blackpool remain in talks with former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler.
He has been training with the club, although talks appear to have stalled over money.
“Yes, I’m trying to sign Robbie Fowler, but at the moment it won’t be happening,” Holloway said.
“Unless I can get things done and a deal done in a slightly different way, then he won’t be coming.
“I’ll be talking to him on Wednesday and see what we can do. If it doesn’t happen, I’ll be disappointed, but such is life.”
MATT Hill has joined Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.
The defender, who turns 31 later this month, has made just four Seasiders appearances his his summer signing, the last of them at West Ham in November.
The former Preston player was released by Barnsley at the end of last season.
