Nile Ranger has again turned to social media to mock Blackpool’s decision to extend his contract.
The AWOL striker discovered last week that Pool had exercised their option to keep him for a further 12 months, even though he has not turned up for training since the start of December and recently accused the club of “taking the Mick” over his contract.
Former manager Lee Clark described the 24-year-old as “totally unprofessional” and as someone “I don’t want in and around my club at all” before himself resigning 11 days ago.
After the club’s official retained list was finally confirmed yesterday, the controversial former Newcastle frontman posted a picture online with the caption: “Face says it all #baffed”.
Baffed is a slang phrase which refers to being tired and fed up.
Whoever replaces Clark must make a decision on Ranger, who clearly sees his future away from Bloomfield Road. As things stand, he is contracted to report in for pre-season training with the rest of Pool’s squad on June 29.
