Pool have dropped ticket prices to £10 (£5 concessions) for the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, January 28.
It is a gesture for those who couldn’t get tickets for Fleetwood Town in the previous round. The Seasiders were allocated only 800 tickets for the historic clash at Highbury Avenue, meaning the vast majority of the club’s 9,000 season ticket holders could not attend.
Pool secretary Matt Williams said: “Because of that we wanted to make ticket prices for the next round as affordable as possible.
“We are very grateful to Sheffield Wednesday for agreeing to the prices because gate receipts are split equally in the cup.
“They hope to bring 2,200 supporters, and with our fans hopefully taking full advantage of the lower prices we are aiming for a full house, which will mean a terrific atmosphere.”
If Pool win, the home Championship game against West Ham would switch as it clashes with the fifth round on February 18.
