A ERIK Huseklepp strike in the last minute of stoppage game handed Portsmouth a win over Blackpool.

The striker found himself totally unmarked at the back post and he gave Matt Gilks in goal no chance with a superb strike.

It was a case of missed chances costing dear for Blackpool against a home side who looked to have settled for a point at half time.

Matty Phillips had Blackpool’s two best chances of the game, twice racing away from the back four but on both occasions failing to find the net.

FINAL SCORE: PORTSMOUTH 1 BLACKPOOL 0

Blackpool lost that with almost the last kick of the game. Portsmouth set-up with one up front and killed the game from start to finish. Sadly for Blackpool, after big missed chances, a sucker punch was always likely.

74 mins: Portsmouth deserve nothing from this game. They are playing one up front and have made no attempted to win this game. Lets hope they don’t!

71 mins: Ludo Sylvestre is the latest to be booked.

60 mins: Three corners in a row for Blackpool. Better spell, home fans quiet.

54 mins: Ludo Sylvestre comes on to replace Matty Phillips. Looks like Gary Taylor-Fletcher has gone up top.

HALF TIME: PORTSMOUTH 0 BLACKPOOL 0

Blackpool should really be ahead at the break. Two good chances, both falling to Matt Phillips, have gone begging.

45 mins: Brilliant effort on the volley from 30-yards by Barry Ferguson. Just over.

45 mins: Tom Ince forces a decent save from a 25-yard free-kick.

44 mins: Another yellow card. This time for Jason Pearce who fouled Matty Phillips. No need for so many yellow cards here.

41 mins: Tom Ince goes down in the box, the referee blew the whistle, but only to award the home side a free-kick and yellow card Ince for diving. This referee is dishing out cards like it’s Christmas.

37 mins: Dangerous free-kick for Pompey at the edge of the 18 yard box. They tried to fool Blackpool with a pathetic moment of acting by Norris and Lawrence. They pretended to make a hash of the free-kick, only for Norris to turn around and shoot towards goal. It won’t be winning an Oscar.

36 mins: Ian Evatt gets revenge with a strong challenge on David Norris. Yellow card.

33 mins: David Norris is booked for what looked like an elbow to the face of Ian Evatt. The big defender was treated by Phil Horner book looks like he’ll be ok.

11 mins: Stephen Crainey is booked for handball and a bit of a moan at the referee.

7 mins: Scrappy start to the game here, neither side getting on the ball. Pompey have started the brighter.
