Blackpool have had a bid accepted for Gary Mackenzie.
MK Dons gave permission for the 27-year-old to talk to Pool this week after he impressed on loan last season.
The centre-half was Ince’s first signing after taking over at Bloomfield Road and MacKenzie went on to make 12 starts alongside Kirk Broadfoot in defence.
Ince revealed he hopes to get the deal done before his squad fly to Portugal for a pre-season training camp on Sunday.
“I’m hoping to get Big Gary done as quick as possible, that’s looking quite good at the moment.” said the Blackpool boss.
“Hopefully we’ll have some news on that in the next 24 hours.”
Pool return to training tomorrow with only 12 senior players but are hoping to add at least a couple of new faces before jetting off.
One player who could be set for a return is Stephen Crainey.
Talks with the 32-year-old stalled last week but it’s understood he could be close to agreeing a new deal at Bloomfield Road.
