Blackpool’s fringe players face Premier League side Sunderland today in a behind closed doors game.
Manager Lee Clark aims to arrange a game each week for players who are not featuring in the first team.
Following last Tuesday’s visit to Manchester United, Pool travel to Wearside today for a behind-closed-doors game against what is expected to be a young Black Cats side.
Defender Nyron Nosworthy is set to start, having missed out on a debut on Saturday, while Steven Davies will also feature alongside Nathan Delfouneso.
Clark said: “Last week’s game worked well and gave us the chance to look at some players who needed games. Sunderland is another good test for us.
“We’re working really hard on the fitness of the whole squad, not just the ones playing in the first team.”
