Blackpool are hoping for developments in the transfer market today, having been given permission to talk to two potential signings.
After hitting a brick wall in his efforts to boost his squad last week, Neil McDonald has seen two bids accepted over the weekend.
The Pool manager explained: “Players have been giving permission to talk to us and we are waiting on answers now.
“It’s now down to the players to decide what they want to do. Hopefully we can get one or two deals over the line quickly.”
The Gazette understands two triallists trained with the Seasiders last week, including a young player from Southampton.
While Pool’s targets remain unknown, The Gazette revealed last week that Swindon striker Michael Smith was on the wishlist of boss McDonald. He played 86 minutes in their 1-0 win at Southend on Saturday.
The transfer window closes a week tomorrow at 5pm.
