FORMER Blackpool and Fleetwood Town striker Keigan Parker is training with Preston North End.
Parker, scorer of a stunning goal in the 2007 League One play-off final win which secured Pool’s rise to the Championship, has been invited to spend pre-season at Deepdale.
Parker, who turns 29 next month and still lives in Blackpool, ended last season at Fleetwood on loan from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Mansfield.
But the Scot is keen to break back into the Football League and will be determined to take his chance at Preston.
Manager Phil Brown is attempting to bounce back to the Championship and will have noted Parker’s 16-goal contribution to the Seasiders’ promotion campaign under Simon Grayson
Colin Hendry’s first signing as Blackpool boss from St Johnstone in summer 2004, Parker left Bloomfield Road for Huddersfield three years ago and had spells at Hartlepool, Oldham and Bury before joining Mansfield last summer.
