Leeds boss Brian McDermott says he’s not interested in Blackpool’s bid for Ross McCormack.

Pool tabled a joint offer of more than £1m for the forward and team-mate Aidy White last week. It’s the second time the Seasiders have moved for Scotland international McCormack this summer.

Leeds manager McDermott confirmed the offer but said it isn’t right for anyone.

“We’ve had a couple of bids for players which we’ve rejected,” McDermott said. “Yes, one was from Blackpool but I’m not interested. It would be wrong for us, in my opinion – wrong for the players too.”

It’s unclear whether Pool will go back in for a third time for the 26-year-old, but they could be pushed by interest from Championship rivals Middlesbrough. Tony Mowbray’s side are reported to have also tabled a £1m bid.
