FORMER Newcastle and Portsmouth striker Lomana LuaLua will travel to West Ham with his new team-mates after finally agreeing a deal with Blackpool.
The Congolese forward has signed until the end of the season and Holloway has confirmed he will be on the team coach heading for London tomorrow.
“We offered him a contract last week and I’m delighted he has signed it,” said the manager.
“I am very optimistic he will do a decent job for us because he’s looked really good since he started training with us.
“He scored a goal in a behind-closed-doors match for us and I’m pleased he’s agreed terms and signed for us.”
LuaLua had spells in Greece and Qatar but had been keen to return to play his football in England.
Able to sign for the Seasiders outside of the transfer window because he is a free agent, LuaLua is relishing the chance to lift Blackpool back into the top flight.
“I just wanted to play football in England again,’ said the 30-year-old.
“This is now a great opportunity to show I still have the talent to play at the highest level in England.”
