Blackpool boss Paul Ince has been named the Championship’s manager of the month for August.
The Seasiders have won four of their five league games so far this season and find themselves at the top of the Championship table.
Ince saw off competition from Harry Redknapp and Sean Dyche to be named the league top manager for August, but he wasn’t going to start taking the credit.
“It’s always nice to be reconised when we’ve done well, but it’s not about me,” he said.
“I’ve won this award because of the players, not because of me.
“If I could split the award into 18 pieces and hand it around the dressing room, I really would.
“The lads have been outstanding in the first five games.
“It will probably be the kiss of death now, but we’ll take it.
“When you look at the problems we’ve had here, it’s a massive achievement.”
