Tom Ince was on the score sheet as Blackpool beat Penrith in their first pre-season outing.
The winger came on as a half-time substitute despite seeing a bid accepted for him from Premier League side Cardiff City last week.
Boss Paul Ince used the game as a chance to give a run out to his whole squad, as well as a number of trial players.
Former Hull City striker Caleb Folan, ex-Seasider Rob Edwards and Emmitt Delfouneso were among the players handed a chance to impress.
It was a game of few chances in the first half, with Nathan Eccleston looking lively in attack.
But it was after the break, when Ince introduced a much more familiar looking side, that Pool gained control.
The deadlock was eventually broken on 65 minutes when Ince raced down the right before crossing into the path of Matt Phillips who buried it from 10 yards.
And the highly-rated winger who made it two with five minutes remaining.
Ince curled a superb effort into the top corner after neat work from Angel Martinez and the impressive Alberto Noguera.
Gary Mackenzie and Kirk Broadfoot, who signed on Friday, both played 45 minutes.
Final score: Penrith 0 Blackpool 2
Pool: Gilks, Caprice, Delfouneso, Broadfoot, Blackman, Basham, Osbourne, Diaby, Eccleston, Folan, Barkhuizen.
Pool second half: Gilks, Edwards, Dunne, Mackenzie, Cathcart, Angel, Ferguson, Noguera, Phillips, Ince and Osmond.
