Paul Ince says his Blackpool team are performing miracles this season.
Saturday’s 3-2 defeat against Ipswich was only their second in 15 league games.
Pool made the best start in their history by winning five of their first six and Ince said: “What the lads have been doing is performing miracles. They keep going and at times we have to pinch ourselves.”
Ince hopes the club’s injury situation will ease over the international break and relishes for half a team’s worth of players returning soon.
“In two or three weeks we’ll have four or five players coming back to fitness,” said the manager. “We seem to be good at dealing with that for some unknown reason.”
While a late goal defeated Pool on Saturday, Ince is well aware that late winners have played a big part in his side’s early-season success.
They left it late to defeat Barnsley, Doncaster and Nottingham Forest, and Ince added: “It shows the desire we have. It’s a great trait to have.
“It shows we don’t ever give up and we keep fighting until the end. The lads have created history at the start of this season.”
