Paul Ince has for the first time admitted his Blackpool players are missing him.
The Seasiders surrendered a 2-1 lead in stoppage time when Stephen Davies headed into his own goal to hand Blackburn a point on Saturday.
It followed a crazy five minutes which saw two players sent off following a 20-man brawl.
Boss Ince was serving the second of his five match stadium ban, and admits he was needed at the weekend.
“When you look at times like on Saturday when we were starting to get a bit deep and maybe a bit panicky, that’s when I’m needed on the touchline,” said Ince. I’ve learnt my lesson and it won’t happen again. It’s so frustrating at times.”
Ince will miss this weekend’s trip to Nottingham Forest, and won’t be back in the dugout until the visit of Sheffield Wednesday to Bloomfield Road on November 30, a game which seems far away for the Blackpool boss.
He said: “I have another three games now, I’m not back until November 30 and it seems a million, million miles away.
“But we have a great bunch of lads and staff. If you’d have said we’d get four points from two games under Alex Rae and Steve Thompson then we’d have taken that.”
