QPR boss Mark Hughes says he doesn’t expect DJ Campbell’s loan move to be sealed any time soon.
The striker has agreed terms with Blackpool over a three-month deal. However, Pool don’t want the striker to return to his parent club before the busy Christmas period, so want to wait at least another week before signing the star.
Hughes confirmed: “There’s been progress but nothing really definite. I’m sure he will go out on loan and it will benefit him, but at the moment I don’t think it’s imminent.”
Campbell will be forced to leave Loftus Road after being left out of their 25-man Premier League squad.
Hughes added: “DJ’s a good player and things have been a bit difficult for him.
“But I made a decision early on that the likelihood was he wouldn’t be able to get into my team, simply because of the options I have.”
