IAN Holloway will run the rule over his fringe players and test the fitness of Stephen Crainey when the Seasiders Reserves take on Liverpool tomorrow.
The plan is for Crainey to play for the first time since damaging ankle ligaments against Sunderland on January 22.
He has been in rehab for the last six weeks, and if he comes through tomorrow’s Bloomfield Road test (kick-off 2pm) he will be added to the squad to face Chelsea.
Matt Gilks won’t feature as he continues his recovery from a broken kneecap.
The knee is fine but he has suffered muscle wastage during his spell on the sidelines and is undergoing a strengthening regime before being allowed to play again.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Elliot Grandin are still being treated for hamstring injuries.
