Ryan Hall has revealed he turned down an offer from Blackpool in favour of a move to MK Dons.
The winger was on trial at Bloomfield Road for the past fortnight after contacting the club and asking to join in training.
Stand-in boss Barry Ferguson was keen to take a longer look at the 26-year-old, who was released by Leeds in November following a breach of discipline.
It’s understood Pool offered him a short-term pay-as-you-play deal but he has opted to moved to League One.
Hall said: “Blackpool put something on the table for me but it didn’t really reach the requirements of me and my family.
“I got a call on Tuesday telling me not to sign for Blackpool as MK Dons were interested.
“I ended up signing for them.
“It was something I wanted to get involved in.”
