One of the club’s most recent signings was Rogers for an initial £8million fee during the January transfer window, with the forward scoring three times in 16 outings since making the switch.

The Villa man started his career with West Brom, before joining Manchester City in 2019. Throughout his time at the Etihad, he was sent out on loan to Lincoln City, AFC Bournemouth and Blackpool.

During his time with the Seasiders, he scored once in 22 appearances, as the club suffered relegation from the Championship. Last summer he made the permanent move to Middlesbrough, where he caught the eye with seven goals in 33 outings.

Following the confirmation of Villa’s top four status, Rogers took to X, writing: “CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BABY!!!!!”

The club also shared a snap of the 21-year-old celebrating, with the caption: “From the Championship to the Champions League.”
