DAVID Carney is set to sign for Spanish second division outfit AD Alcorcon.
The 27-year-old, who can play at left-back or left-wing, has had a medical with the Madrid-based outfit and agreed a one-year contract. Carney has had a nightmare summer, desperately searching for a new club after being released by the Seasiders at the end of last season.
His search for a new employer was hampered by injury problems – Carney suffering a dislocated shoulder in March.
The Australian international could make his debut for Alcorcon in their league clash with Sabadell at the weekend.
