Former Blackpool winger Trevor Sinclair has become assistant manager at Lancaster City/

City narrowly missed out on a play-off place in a nail-biting finish to last season’s NPL First Division North campaign.

The 41-year-old was capped by England 12 times and represented his country at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.

He began his career at Blackpool before being snapped up by Queens Park Rangers in the early 1990s. It was at Loftus Road when he lined-up alongside Peacock.

After more than 150 appearances for the Rs, Sinclair then moved across London to West Ham United before a returning to the North West with Manchester City.

He finished his career at Cardiff City in 2008.

A spokesman for Lancaster said: “We are pleased to announce that Trevor Sinclair has agreed to join Darren Peacock as his assistant manager.”
