IAN Holloway labelled the Seasiders’ travelling support “magnificent” at Craven Cottage ... with one exception.
When the manager strode on to the pitch to acknowledge the Pool contingent at the final whistle, he was annoyed with one fan.
Holloway said: “One bloke went, ‘What’s going on?’ to me. What’s the matter with him? Can’t he see it? The great nugget!
“What’s the matter with the bloke? All the rest of them were absolutely outstanding. This bloke knows who he is. You have every right to say what you want but cheer on my lads, will you? You complete chicken nugget!
“Let’s face it, it is unbelievable for us to be here with what we are paying our boys, so let’s get on with it.
“Our fans were absolutely top-drawer and I want that to carry on. The supporters couldn’t have done any more to lift their team, but their team has to do that for them as well.
“Some days we won’t be as good as the people we play. Their shape, what they did on the day and their delivery from set-pieces caught us out. They capitalised on every mistake we made.
“We have to be realistic about this level but we are doing our best not to drop out. We need our fans to stick with us all the way, no matter what happens.”
