BILLY Davies will not be taking over at Blackpool and is expected to be named as the new Nottingham Forest boss.
Seasiders chairman Karl Oyston met the 48-year-old Scot on Monday and talks were believed to have gone well.
Both parties agreed to spend yesterday thinking things over. Pool were confident Davies would take up the challenge and were ready to offer the Scotsman the job.
However, Forest parted company with manager Alex McLeish yesterday. Davies managed Forest for three years until summer 2011 and remains a hugely popular figure with supporters at the City Ground.
The Gazette understands that Forest contacted Davies’ representatives yesterday and that he will be named as their boss in the next 24 hours.
