A LATE Palace goal prevented Blackpool from taking all three points in a thrilling match at Selhurst Park.

Ian Holloway’s men had led for the bulk of an end-to-end game that could have gone either way in the end.

Alex Baptiste had given the Seasiders a half-time lead after he raced onto a Gary Taylor-Fletcher pass before giving Julian Speroni in the Palace goal no chance with the finish.

However, with only ten minutes remaining Glenn Murray nipped in at the near post to convert past Matt Gilks from five yards.

Both teams had chances to win it at the death, but had to settle for a point each.

Follow our minute-by-minute report below:

FULL TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 1 BLACKPOOL 1

A superb game that could have gone either way in the end. Decent performance from Blackpool, but you have to say that if they had converted at least one more of their many first half chances, the three points would have been theirs.

90 mins: A mazy run from Tom Ince ends in a Pool corner. Sylvestre’s delivery falls to Phillips who volleys high over the bar.

90 mins: Three minutes of time added on.

89 mins: Tom Ince comes on for Brett Ormerod.

89 mins: Big chance for Keith Southern to win it. Gary Taylor-Fletcher twisted and turned on the left before crossing towards Southern who mis-kicked his effort over.

87 mins: What a last ten minutes we’ve had here. Credit to Blackpool and Palace, they both want the three points!

87 mins: Glenn Murray looked to have handed Palace the win as he raced in behind Baptiste only to see his shot drift just wide of the post. He should have scored.

86 mins: Massive chance for Ormerod as he heads a Taylor-Fletcher cross towards goal. Super save from Speroni. What a game!

84 mins: This could go either way here with both teams going for the win.

83 mins: Sensational save from Matt Gilks keeps Blackpool in the game. He somehow clawed a header from Mile Jedinak off the line.

81 mins: Tough ten minutes ahead for Blackpool here. The home side are going to throw everything at the Seasiders.

80 mins: GOAL TO PALACE

Well you have to say it was coming. A break down the left, cross to the near post and Glenn Murray nipped in ahead of Ian Evatt to prod past Matt Gilks, decent finish.

76 mins: Getting nervy here for Blackpool, under alot of pressure and really having to dig deep.

75 mins: 14,776 are in Selhurst Park this afternoon, with 773 travelling from the Seaside.

74 mins: Blackpool under massive pressure here, defending well so far though. A real gritty second half.

73 mins: Alexander Tunchev’s deflected strike rattles the bar for Palace.

71 mins: Ian Evatt is booked for a pull back on Jermaine Easter.

67 mins: Ian Evatt’s effort is hacked off the line. A Sylvestre corner was only half cleared and Evatt kept his shot down only for it to be blocked at the last moment.

66 mins: Huge chance for Kevin Phillips. He turned onto a poor back pass from Jedinak before curling wide. You wouldn’t have wanted that chance to fall to anyone else on the pitch!

65 mins: Ludovic Sylvestre comes on to replace Billy Clarke for Blackpool.

62 mins: Scare for Matt Gilks as he grabs the ball right on the edge of his box. The home fans claims he stepped the wrong side of the line, luckily the referee waved claims away.

54 mins: Gilks makes a comfortable save from a Paddy McCarthy header.

53 mins: Blackpool have totally dominated the middle of the park so far this afternoon. Keith Southern and Barry Ferguson have been outstanding.

52 mins: Difficult start to the second half for Blackpool, have to keep it tight and ride the storm a little.

45 mins: Blackpool kick-off the second half. No changes from either side.

Crystal Palace 0 Blackpool 1 - half time

HALF TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0 BLACKPOOL 1

Well you have to say that Blackpool deserve their half-time lead. Ian Holloway’s men created chance-after-chance and only some slack finishing prevented them from going in further ahead at the break. I think the manager will be happy though, some brilliant football this afternoon so far

44 mins: Speculative overhead kick from Dean Moxley goes just over for Palace.

41 mins: GOAL FOR BLACKPOOL!!!

Alex Baptiste plays a one-two with Gary Taylor-Fletcher before hammering home from ten yards. A well deserved, superbly worked goal. What on earth was Baptiste doing up there?

39 mins: A brilliant cross from Stephen Crainey is fired into the box, sadly no Pool player could get onto the end of it.

38 mins: Darren Ambrose skips his way past a couple of Blackpool defenders before firing over from 18-yards.

37 mins: Game calmed right down now. Lets hope Blackpool don’t live to regret not taking one of those early chances.

28 mins: Great defending from Craig Cathcart as Sean Scannell looked to be in on goal. The Pool defender recovered well to get the tackle in.

28 mins: Matt Gilks pulls a save right out the top drawer to deny Paddy McCartney. The defender met an Ambrose free-kick to head towards goal from six yards, somehow Gilks managed to keep it out.

26 mins: Brett Ormerod fires well over on the volley at the far post. The flag was raised.

24 mins: Ryan McGivern heads wide for Palace from a corner, never looked like testing Matt Gilks.

21 mins: Kevin Phillips shows that he only needs half a yard to get a shot off. Taylor-Fletcher’s flick found Phillips who fired wide from around 14 yards.

20 mins: Game seems to have calmed down a little after Blackpool’s superb start.

16 mins: Blackpool have started very well here against a nervous looking Palace side. Need to make all this pressure count.

13 mins: YET ANOTHER chance for Blackpool. This time Billy Clarke raced away from the Palace back four before shooting at Speroni. Clarke will feel is should have scored there.

11 mins: Very lively start here from Blackpool, could easilly be a couple of goals ahead.

10 mins: Kevin Phillips has an effort cleared off the line! A Billy Clarke corner was headed toward goal by a Palace defender and Phillips pounced on Speroni’s spill only for the ball to be blocked on the line. So unlucky.

9 mins: Great move involving Taylor-Fletcher and Clarke saw Ormerod in on goal. Good work by the defenders see the ball go out for a corner.

5 mins: Another chance for Blackpool. This time the ball fell to Keith Southern at the edge of the box. His left-footed strike was deflected into the arms of the keeper. Bright start from Blackpool.

3 mins: The first chance of the game falls to Blackpool. A total scramble in the box ended with the ball falling to Brett Ormerod at the far post who forced a save out of Speroni from a tight angle.

3pm: Palace kick off, we are underway!

2:55pm: The teams are out. Blackpool in their away colours of white shirts, tangerine shorts and white socks.
