CHARLIE Adam thanked Blackpool for “two and a half fantastic years” as he completed his move to Liverpool last night.
Adam will jet to China with his new team-mates today as Liverpool begin a pre-season tour of Asia.
The Scotland midfielder said: “I am now officially a Liverpool FC player. Thanks for all the support over the last few months.
“I would like to take this chance also to thank the players and staff of BFC. I’ve had two and a half fantastic years and have plenty of memories.
“I would like to thank the fans, who supported me and the team from the first day I joined the club. It will never be forgotten.”
The 25-year-old, a transfer target of Kenny Dalglish almost from the moment he took over from Roy Hodgson in early January, completed his medical with no problems.
“I am absolutely delighted to be here,” he said. “It has been a long process but now I can’t wait to get started, and hopefully this will be a successful period in my career and in the club’s history.
“I see this as the perfect development for me to come here, play with such wonderful players and hopefully help the team to win trophies, because that’s the most important thing.”
