IT was a busy day at Bloomfield Road as the Seasiders confirmed two more signings alongside striker Adda Djeziri.
Former Althetico Madrid midfielder Alberto Noguera and young winger James Caton both put pen to paper.
The pair signed two-year deals with the option of a third.
Noguera, 22, is a talented midfielder who joined the Seasiders on their training camp in Portugal.
Red tape meant the deal took longer than hoped but club secretary Matt Williams was able to meet the criteria which finally enabled him to sign.
Noguera was allowed to leave the Spanish giants at the end of last season and manager Ian Holloway says he’s pleased to get his man.
“Little Noguera is a wonderful talent, I really like him,” said the Pool boss.
“He’s a very decent footballer and a nice lad, so we are pleased to push that through.”
18-year-old Caton has been training with the Seasiders after being released by Bolton at the end of last season.
He scored in the friendly win over Everton and came on as a substitute at Swansea.
Holloway added: “James came on trial to go into our development squad but he’s already shown me he could be ahead of that. He’s quick, has great feet and could be a threat.
“I might have to ease him into the side, then take him out. I like the look of him.”
