LIVERPOOL’S Gerardo Bruna is on the verge of becoming a Blackpool player.
The Seasiders are hoping to add the 20-year-old once described as ‘the next Messi’ to their squad by the weekend.
Bruna is a skilful winger and dead-ball specialist, signed from Real Madrid in 2007 and listed among World Soccer Magazine’s 50 most exciting youngsters.
Born in Argentina, he has shone at youth and reserve team level for Liverpool over the last couple of seasons, but failed to break into the senior side and has accepted the time is right to move on.
Talks have been ongoing for the past week but the Seasiders are confident the deal is almost done.
Bruna’s Liverpool team-mate Tom Ince is also in discussions with Pool but this transfer is not at the same advanced stage.
