Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf will today hold talks over a move to Bloomfield Road.
The Gazette understand that the Seasiders have had a bid accepted for the 23-year-old Senegal international and hope to secure a deal before Tuesday’s game against Rangers.
The striker scored three goals in 26 appearances on loan at Blackburn last season.
Signed in 2009 from Norwegian club Molde, Diouf has featured on United’s pre-season tour of North America.
Meanwhile Pool are understood to be close to completing deals for Liverpool winger Gerardo Bruna and Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson.
Bruna joined the Seasiders during a training camp in Portugal last week and is believed to have impressed boss Ian Holloway.
The Gazette understands Ferguson has agreed terms with Blackpool after flying home from Brum’s training camp in Ireland over the weekend.
The deal is believed to be worth around £750,000.
