POOL are being linked with Barnsley striker Ricardo Vaz Te.
The 25-year-old played in the Premier League with Bolton and has blasted 12 goals this season for the Tykes, including ten in his last ten outings, to stand joint-third in the Championship’s list of top scorers.
Seasiders boss Ian Holloway saw Vaz Te in the flesh in Pool’s Boxing Day win at Oakwell.
Vaz Te failed to hit the target in that match but did cause problems with his movement and pace.
He is exactly the kind of player Holloway likes – able to play anywhere along the frontline and with plenty of tricks.
Vaz Te, who smashed a hat-trick in Barnsley’s 4-1 demolition of Leeds, joined the Tykes on a free transfer last summer after a six-month spell at Hibernian.
He previously spent seven years at Bolton, after blazing onto the scene as a 15-year-old in his native Portugal.
A ligament injury hampered him at the Reebok.
