Blackpool are in talks with Walsall’s Andy Taylor over a move to Bloomfield Road.
The 30-year-old defender has been offered a new deal by the Saddlers after making 39 appearances for the club last season.
But it’s understood he could be set to reject their offer in favour of a move to Bloomfield Road after talks took place earlier this week.
Boss Gary Bowyer is desperate to add experience to his back-four and is in need of a left-back after summer departures of David Ferguson and Charles Dunne.
Taylor has almost 300 Football League appearances under his belt with the likes of QPR, Blackburn, Huddersfield and Sheffield United.
He also played three times for the Seasiders during a loan spell in 2006.
The Gazette understands Taylor has been offered a two-year deal at Bloomfield Road, and could sign this week.
