Blackpool have been fined £50,000 and ‘severely warned as to future conduct’ by the FA following the abandoned game against Huddersfield Town.

The Seasiders have also been ordered to play their first home game of the season behind closed doors, although that element is suspended for one year and dependant on another pitch invasion which causes the players to leave the field in the next twelve months.

The FA charge, which the club denied, was for failing to control spectators resulting in a pitch incursion which caused Blackpool’s game against Huddersfield Town to be abandoned back in May.

Blackpool FC are yet to comment on the decision.
