We bring you the latest on what could be an interesting deadline day for Blackpool.
11:00pm: TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSES!
10:50pm: SIGNING! Stephen Dobbie arrives at Bloomfield Road on loan until the end of the season, he goes straight into the squad to face Blackburn tomorrow.
10:50pm: EXIT! Thomas Ince joins Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.
10:11pm: Paperwork has been submitted by Blackpool for Tom Ince and Stephen Dobbie deals, now waiting for it to be returned. This will be the last bit of business this evening, no more through the door.
9:21pm: Maybe, just maybe, there could be one more player joining Stephen Dobbie through the door tonight.
9:20pm: Just waiting on the Ince deal to be confirmed.
8:20pm: It’s understood Tom Ince is set to join Crystal Palace on loan, with Stephen Dobbie heading back to Bloomfield Road in return.
7:20pm: It’s been a long and slow evening, but there are still things happening. It’s believed Tom Ince’s move to Crystal Palace could still be on. The winger remains in London and Palace are desperate to get the deal over the line. Reports Pool could be tempted by a player plus cash deal, a Stephen Dobbie return?
5:45pm: Don’t worry we haven’t gone home yet, even though we could have done with very little happening at Blackpool in the last few hours. But, we are assured there could be one more through the door before the deadline. As for Tom Ince, well that’s going to rumble on, there’s a battle going on between Blackpool and Crystal Palace as it stands, Stoke are watching on from the sidelines.
4:10pm: Former Blackpool loan man Tyler Blackett has joined Birmingham on loan, while David Vaughan has extended his deal with Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
2:50pm: Looks like Bob Harris’ loan deal at Sheffield United will be made permanent today. Great move for the popular full-back.
2:40pm: Remains nothing incoming to report from Blackpool, few things in the pipeline but nothing more at the moment.
1:20pm: As hinted before, Tom Ince’s move to Crystal Palace is in major doubt after the loan deal hit a snag. It’s believed Blackpool aren’t keen on sending the player out on loan and would prefer a permanent deal. This one is likely to run right until the deadline. Stoke remain the only club to have made a permanent offer as it stands.
1:00pm: It’s possible Blackpool could do more business today, but nothing is concrete at the moment. No medicals booked, or deals agreed.
12:30pm: New signing Andy Keogh talks to The Gazette. Admits things had gone a little stale at Millwall and is excited for the challenge. Am told Ferguson is very excited by the signing of Faris Haroun, says it’s a player he’s kept an eye on for a while now.
12:15pm: Barry Ferguson and his squad return to Bloomfield Road for lunch.
12:00pm: Training is cut short due to the terrible weather conditions on the Fylde coast.
10:30am: Barry Ferguson and his Blackpool squad take to the field for training. Would expect things to calm down now until the early afternoon. Ferguson’s concentration now on tomorrow’s Lancashire derby against Blackburn.
10:05am: Story on Keogh signing. KEOGH JOINS POOL
10:00am: SIGNING! Millwall striker Andy Keogh has joined Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season.
9:50am: Haroun and a second signing are at Blackpool’s training ground to take part in a session ahead of tomorrow’s game. Expecting another announcement shortly.
9:47am: Story on Haroun striker HAROUN JOINS POOL
9:45am: SIGNING! Blackpool have completed the signing of Middlesbrough midfielder Faris Haroun.
9:40am: Could be a couple of quick signings for Blackpool this morning. Things moving quickly.
9:30am: Not one which will happen today, but interesting to hear American (and Championship Manager legend) Freddy Adu is currently training with the club.
The attacking midfielder is out of contract and looking for a club ahead of this summer’s World Cup. AMERICAN STAR ADU TRAINS WITH BLACKPOOL
9:00am: The Ince situation is an interesting one. Blackpool would prefer he leaves on a permanent deal today to prevent him going abroad for almost nothing in the summer. The Ince camp want a loan deal to keep their options open. As it stands Tom has been given permission to talk to a number of clubs, but NO deal has been agreed to take him anywhere. TOM INCE TRANSFER LATEST
8:45am: While the future of Thomas Ince will no doubt dominate the national news, Blackpool are aiming to do some business of their own. Expect at least two in today.
8:30am: Blackpool started their transfer business last night, confirming the signing of Tony McMahon from Sheffield United until the end of the season. He’s played twice for the Seasiders already on loan. I suppose making the move permanent frees up a loan move.
8am: Here we go again, it’s Blackpool’s favourite day of the year. Let’s hope Matt Williams has his mobile phone charger with him and Karl Oyston is in a good mood!
