Blackpool have agreed a deal to sign the 20-year-old Carlisle midfield Brad Potts.
The England Under-19 international was an ongoing Pool target last season and has agreed a two-year deal with the option of a third.
Potts was a virtual eve- present for the League Two club last season and made 83 League appearances over three seasons at Brunton Park, scoring nine goals.
He will be out of contract at the end of the month and the clubs have agreed a compensation fee as he is under-23.
Potts told the club website: “I’ve played in League One before with Carlisle and enjoyed it, so hopefully I can play some games and do well.
Potts becomes former Carlisle manager McDonald’s second signing for Pool, following the goalkeeper Colin Doyle.
