Blackpool crashed out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat against League Two side Barnet.
Two first half goals did the damage for Barnet against a Pool side which offered no threat all afternoon.
The Seasiders struggled to cope with Barnet’s direct style in the opening stages with Sam Muggleton’s long throws proving a constant threat.
Chances for him and Luke Gambin went by before Blackpool finally got to grips with the game on around 20 minutes.
Despite that they managed just one effort in the opening 45 minutes, when Kwame Thomas poked wide after a superb pass from Jose Cubero.
Soon after keeper Colin Doyle limped off with an ankle injury and it took the stuffing out of Neil McDonald’s side.
Barnet put replacement keeper Kyle Letheren under real pressure with three corners in a row on 36 minutes, and from the third they took the lead.
Tom Champion turning home a decent delivery at the near post.
From then until the break Pool collapsed, and just four minutes before half time it was two.
This time Michael Gash heading home well from a Gambin cross.
After the break the home side shut-up shop against a Blackpool side who never really looked like causing a threat.
It’s now three defeats in a week for the Seasiders, this was the worse by some distance.
