ALEX Baptiste says tomorrow’s derby at Burnley is the perfect game for the Seasiders to bounce back.
The international break has meant a fortnight’s wait for Blackpool’s stars since the disappointing home defeat by Charlton.
And the 26-year-old defender can’t wait for the 5.20pm, Sky-televised clash at Turf Moor.
“It’s a great game to come back to,” Baptiste said. “Burnley away on TV should suit us down to the ground.
“Burnley fans always make a noise and support their team, so add our away following to that and we should be in for a cracker.”
In last season’s corresponding fixture, Ian Holloway’s men were well beaten 3-1 and the manager described the performance as “terrible”.
Baptiste remembers that evening well. “We found ourselves 2-0 down and fighting an uphill battle,” he recalls. “It was a tough game and they gave us a bit of a roasting.”
Pool have lost both matches shown live on Sky Sports this season, against Leicester and Huddersfield, and the centre-half can’t really explain it.
“We don’t have a good recent cord on Sky except in the play-offs. Hopefully we can put that to bed and get three points.”
