MICHAEL Appleton has handed his transfer wish list to chairman Karl Oyston.
The Blackpool boss has made adding fresh faces to the squad his top priority for the coming week.
His side have a welcome break from league action today as they take on Premier League side Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup.
Pool lost Wes Thomas and Nouha Dicko after both players were recalled by their parent clubs on Thursday, something which has increased the urgency to do business.
“Karl and I had a conversation after the game on Tuesday, and I’ve given him a list of players I’d like to bring in,” he said.
“He knows who, why and how I’d like to get these players to the club.
“We have a list of players, but I’m sure that list will change as the month goes on.
“Whether they are loans or permanent, I don’t know. The impression I’m getting is that there won’t be many permanent deals to be honest.
“We can only have a certain amount of loan players on the team sheet though, so we have to make sure we don’t flood our squad with loan players.”
Blackpool have a unique way of doing business in the transfer market, which usually involves leaving things until the last possible moment.
He said: “I’m always hopeful about getting my targets, am I confident is a totally different question.
“It’s important to try and stay positive, I’m hopeful.
“We’ll continue to work hard and get some fresh faces into the building, it would give everyone a big boost.
“But there’s no point bringing faces in who aren’t better than what we’ve already got, that’s the most difficult part.”
