GIVEN the reputations of Ian Holloway and Martin Allen, it could be well worth your while heading to Bloomfield Road on Thursday.
The pair are teaming up for a question and answer session with a difference, accompanied by a pie, several pints and some money-can’t-buy raffle prizes.
Former West Ham player Allen, who like Holloway has a short and unhappy spell managing Leicester on his cv, has also sampled the hotseat at Barnet, Brentford, MK Dons and most recently Cheltenham.
He and Holloway are joining forces to promote Coaching for Hope, a scheme aimed at helping young people in Africa through football.
Allen has recently returned from the West African state of Burkina Faso, where he ran a course for 25 local coaches.
He also took donations of kit with him to give to young players in one of the world’s poorest countries.
Doors open at 6.30pm for Thursday’s event, with the duo starting an evening of banter at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £20 are available on 0844 8471953. Limited VIP tables at £60 per head can also be purchased.
