CHARLIE Adam has hit out at anyone who reckons Pool can’t win at Manchester United – he says history proves it can be done.
Ahead of the Seasiders’ day of destiny, the skipper points to Carlos Tevez’s match-winning strike at Old Trafford in May 2007, a goal which secured a 1-0 win for West Ham and saved them from the drop.
It sent Sheffield United down – and led to a huge legal battle – but the point is that United can be defeated.
Adam said: “There have been some great stories in football and Blackpool going to Old Trafford, 12 months to the day since we won promotion at Wembley, and getting a result that keeps us up wouldn’t be a bad one.
“West Ham went there a couple of years ago and nicked a 1-0. You just never know what will happen.
