Follow our minute-by-minute report below.

FULL TIME: BLACKPOOL 1 BIRMINGHAM CITY 0

91 mins: Marlon King hits the post for Birmingham. Massive scare for Pool as the away side’s top scorer should have scored. Luckily for Pool his shot hit the post with Gilks well beaten.

90 mins: TWO minutes time added on.

84 mins: Very nervy here. A goal for either side could be so important.

76 mins: Kevin Phillips heads into the net for Blackpool, flag raised. Must have been close, brilliant ball in from Matt Phillips.

75 mins: Nouah Dicko and Kevin Phillips come on to replace Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Stephen Dobbie.

73 mins: Marlon King has the ball in the net for the away side, flag raised. Looked offside from here.

72 mins: Birmingham can’t handle Tom Ince, he’s on fire tonight.

69 mins: Ince has been superb again for Blackpool, this time he runs at the Birmingham back four and is fouled right on the edge of the box. Stephen Crainey’s deadball hits the wall.

63 mins: Another huge chance for Blackpool. This time Ince twisted and turned in the box before teeing up Stephen Dobbie who fired over. Should really have hit the target.

61 mins: Blackpool need to make this count. So important they get a second while they are on top.

60 mins: Massive moment for Blackpool. Matt Phillips bursts down the right and cuts the ball back to Taylor-Fletcher who’s shot was blocked on route to goal by a defender.

59 mins: All Blackpool here, away fans getting very frustrated.

56 mins: Brilliant turn at the edge of the box by Taylor-Fletcher, his neat through ball just runs away from Matty Phillips.

53 mins: Steady start to the second half. Don’t think either side would be too concerned if it stayed at this score. Blackpool will want another.

45 mins: Birmingham kick-off the second half.

43 MINS: GOAL FOR BLACKPOOL!!!

Tom Ince’s 25 yard effort deflects off Peter Ramage and into the net!

40 mins: Marlon King skims the bar for the away side after Chris Burke cut the ball back into his path. Wouldn’t like to have to predict which way this game is going to go.

38 mins: Game has calmed down here, Barry Ferguson trying a left-foot strike from 22 yards. Just over.

32 mins: Stephen Dobbie hits one from all of 30 yards, too hot to handle for the keeper who can only turn it wide. Great effort.

25 mins: Angel Martinez volleys just over with a superb effort from just inside the box.

23 mins: Decent spell for Blackpool. Tom Ince whipping a corner towards the near post, headed over.

15 mins: Good chance for Blackpool as Chris Burke’s cross is headed down by Elliot into the path of Nathan Redmond who should have done better. His effort flew high and wide.

13 mins: Matt Phillips tries one from 20 yards, straight at Doyle.

7 mins: Scare for Pool as Curtis Davies rises to meet a Chris Burke cross, he could only head back across goal. Bit of a let off.

4 mins: Tom Ince has the ball in the net for Blackpool, sadly the linesman’s flag was raised. Clearly in an offside position from a Stephen Dobbie pass.

3 mins: Good start from Blackpool, looking really lively from the off.

7:42pm: The teams are out, brilliant atmosphere.
